The Heartbeat bill campaign has been borne out of years of legislative failure regarding abortion. While many great people have been labouring on a many great things, the combined impact of these strategies has, sadly, only served to slow the advance of the pro-abortion lobby. Recent abortion figures make for sad sad reading.
What has been lacking, in our view, is a clear legislative goal, by which to aim for and gather around.
This is why in June 2025 a few of us went independent to found this campaign. The road has been hard and the gradient steep but by the grace of God we have been able to, at least get the conversation going, on bringing about actual and substantial legislative change. If this is to proceed beyond simply a conversation and into actual legislation we need financial help.
This week the Heartbeat Bill campaign will be placed under new leadership that will seek to maintain the campaigns public profile, build better relationships with evangelicals, politicians and adjacent organisation (like fostering and adoption charities) and also put in better systems of governance behind the scenes (don’t worry- no controversies but some much needed house keeping!).
